
Earlier i post many stuff buns well this time try with sweet stuffed bun with jaggery and ma Sonshine favorite too with & coconut is ma Princess so keeping in mind not to upset them, mix match with both favorite combo and made this sweet stuff buns.
When evening time after studies alwys want to have smthing so made this for ma angels both love this stuffed bun.
These stuffed buns have a light and airy texture and are perfect homemade snacks for kids. They work great for as a lunch box snack or an after school snack. The filling is absolutely versatile. You can go the vegetarian way with the likes of paneer and mixed vegetables.
Ingredient’s :
All Purpose flour / maida 2.5 cup
Active dry yeast 2 tbsp.
Warm water 2 tbsp
Milk 1/4 cup
Sugar 1 tbsp + 1 tbsp.
Oil 1/4 cup
Egg 1 beaten
Egg yolk of 1 egg for egg wash
Salt to taste
Method :
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and water along with 1 tbsp sugar. Set aside for around 10 mts.
Take a bowl add all purpose flour add proof yeast, oil, salt and mix until you get a smooth paste.
Now add the beaten egg and knead until you get a soft dough.
Keep it covered in a warm place for around 2 – 3hrs. The dough will double in volume by that time. Now punch it down lightly and keep a side. Make the filling for the bun.
For the Filling.
Ingredient’s :
Coconut 1 ½ cup
Jaggery ½ cup (crush jaggery in motar)
Cardamoms 1 tsp.
Almonds 6 pieces (chopped into small pieces)
Salt 1 pinch
Method :
Take a bow add the coconut, crush jaggery & almond and mix well keep a side.
large lemon size balls out of it. Flatten them and fill with the stuffing.
Reshape back into a ball. Arrange them on a greased foil and let them rest for 15 – 20 mts. Preheat the oven at 150 F for around 15 mts. Beat the egg yolk nicely, apply it over buns.
Put them in a baking tray and bake 20 – 25 minutes or until their surface become reddish brown.
