Caldine curry is cook with coconut milk / grated coconut and, typical curry of Goan. It is mild spicy, it flavorful and aromatic, the aroma will be full house once you made this curry, and even make you hungry, i made with Sole fish in goa we call it “Lepo”, you can also fry Sole fish with Rava it’s very crispy and delicious.

Sole fish – 6 piece (clean)
Onion – 1 medium (chopped small)
Tomato – small (chopped small)
Coconut Milk – 1 can
Vinegar – 2 Tsp
Green chilies – 4-5 (sliced)
Ginger and garlic paste – 1 tsp each
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2Tbl spoons
Ground Spices Pwd.
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
Pepper corns – 4-5
Take a bowl add clean Sole fish apply turmeric pwd. , salt and vinegar keep aside. In meantime ground the spices pwd.
Ground roasted cumin seeds, roasted coriander seeds, pepper corns together to a fine powder.
Heat oil in a deep pot add onion and saute till translucent, then add ginger & garlic paste saute for while, add tomato, saute till tomato mashy, then add the ground spices, coconut milk cook for while then add fish, 1/2 cup water let it simmer on low flame cook for 8 minutes add the green chilies check the salt & gravy consistency if required add salt & water.
Serve hot with white stem rice.
Dont overcook the Sole Fish, hence
Can also use fresh coconut grated and blend along with ground pwd. ingredient with little water.
