
Semolina Rava Pudding is a “Sweet Dish”, popular in South India especially in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It is also served with another popular sweet dish of Karnataka Kesari bhath, both in equal quantity in one plate which is very popularly called as the “Chow Chow Bath”. We can prepare dis in may ways.
Well Upma is not a goan breakfast but I remember ma “mum” use to make for us for breakfast which I never use to miss and she made is so divine cant forget the taste till day & she also made dis pudding & ma favorite and now ma Princesssss’s “Danica” favorite.
Here i share ma “Mum” creation as listed below. (I made bit twist with mango).
Ma Mango Rava Pudding is listed below :
Ingredients
Rava (Semolina) – 1 cup
Ghee – 5 tbsp
Mango Puree – 6 tbsp
Sugar – 1 cup (according to ur taste)
Milk – 2 cup
Cashew nuts – 8 nos (Garnish)
Cardamom (Crushed) – 1/2tsp
Method
Take a pan and add 2tbsp of ghee. Add semolina and toss till it fry to light brown.
Then add milk in the same pan stir well for 5 minute, when the milk start to boil add semolina little by little and add mango puree and stir well in low flame for 5 minutes.
When the semolina is cooked and add sugar into it little by little stir continuously. Add 3 tbsp of ghee into it add cardamom and mix well.
When the Semolina pudding leave the pan like form a ball close the flame
Let it cool for a while, in meantime take a plate grease with ghee and add semolina pudding and fatten with spoil and make design I use fork and let it cool and cut according to ur desire shape & garnish with Cashew nut.

Lovely and really delicious, the semolina and mango puree sound perfect together. Reminds me of something my Mom used to make but with Cream of Wheat.
