
Vegetable burger or cutlet is a very popular and simple snack. It is very easy to preapre and can be have as an appetizer / any occassion good for the fussy kids.
It also can have as evening snack with tea. Even can serve with any occassions and get togethers. Today I made simple red beans burger / cutlet or tikki & at home it was superhit.
Ingredients :
1 Cup Red Beans
1 Potato Boil & Mesh
1 Onion medium (chopped into small)
1 Tomato (Chopped into small)
2 Green Chilly
3 Tbsp. Garam Masala
3 Tbsp. Lime Juice
Coriander Leaves Handful (Chopped into fine)
Salt to taste
To assemble Burger / Cutlets / Tikki :
1 Egg
½ Cup Rawa / flour for coating
Oil to fry.
Method:
Soak the bean overnight and next day cook in pressure cooker add the beans, salt and water to cook with 3 whistled close the flame & let it cool.
Meanwhile chopped the onion, tomato, green chilly & coriander keep a side.
Take a bowl add the cooked beans and potatoes and mash both nicely, then add onion, tomato, green chilly, coriander & garam masala and mix well till incorporate well now make.
Take a small bowl add egg, salt and 2 tbsp. water & mix well, keep a side.
Take a plate add rawa / flour keep a side.
Now, make a small ball and press bit and make flat or make any shape of ur desire repeat the same with all the burger, dip in egg mixture then coat with rawa / flour.
Keep a pan @ medium heat and shallow fry the burger on both side till golden brown, Drain on a paper towel.
Yummilicious Vegetable Burger / Cutlet / Tikki is ready.
Note For eggless :
You can take use white flour substitute of egg, take 6 tbsp. white flour add 2 ½ tbsp. water and check make thick paste then dip the burger in flour then coat with rawa.
