Kheema Burger

“Ground meat  / Kheema”  is a traditional South Asian meat dish, derived from Persian, resulting in an incredibly flavorful dish. It has to cook over low heat and don’t overcook or it will end up tough.
It can serve over rice or noodles for a quick meal, can also peas, potatoes, or any other veggie you like it can also use for filling samosa or pastry filling as well.
I have tried Kheema with many dishes earlier today I share “Kheema Burger / Slider”  which was very juicy and my kids really relish this burger/slider, well I assemble it with a slice of tomato, onion, and mayo with fresh coriander and the aroma of fresh coriander I just love, these burger/slider can serve for a tea party, kids birthday party or get together & also can pack for kid lunch boxes and I am sure they are gone like this amazing burger/slider.

Ingredients for Kheema :
500 gm. Mutton Ground meat – wash, apply salt keep aside
3 tbsp. Ghee
1 Onions  Medium, chopped
1 Tomato,  chopped
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder.
1/3 tsp. Tomatoes paste
4 French beans, chopped into round/ circle
Salt to taste.
Ground to Paste :
2 – 3 Cloves
½ inch Cinnamon
2 – 3 Black Peppercorns
4 Clove Garlic
1-inch ginger
1 tbsp. Fresh Coriander
2 Red Kashmiri Chilli
1 tsp. Turmeric Powder
Ingredients for Assembling Burger :
4 Burger Bun, Brown / any of choice
1 Onion, Slice
1 Tomato, Slice
1 Green Chilly / Pepper, chopped round
Fresh Coriander Chopped
Instructions for Kheema :
Take a blender and blend all the ground paste ingredients and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan add onions and sauté till onions turn translucent, add tomato and sauté till it is mashy, then add the blend paste salt.
Cook for a minute or two, add French bean / green beans, now add the ground mutton and fry well, Pour 1/4 cup of water cook for 10 minutes.
Open the lid and place the pan over moderate flame add garam masala powder & tomatoes paste check the salt and cook till the kheema all water evaporates.
If you want a little gravy, remove it before all water evaporates. Switch off the flame.
Assembly for Burger:
Take a burger bun, pipe the mayonnaise. Fill with a ring of onion, tomato slice, a mound of ground kheema, onion slice, tomato slice, and a few fresh coriander, close with the top piece of burger bun, poke a tooth
Repeat for the remaining burger bun & Enjoy,
Ingredients for Mango Lemonade :
1 cup Mango Pulp (can use fresh mangoes)
½ cup sugar (reduce  according to mango pulp is sweet)
2 cups cold water
3 lemons Juice.
Instructions for Mango Lemonade :
Take a big container add the water and sugar and stir until it dissolves.
Now add mango pulp and juice of lemons. Add cold water as required.
Serve cold by topping with ice/lime/mint.
Don’t let it sit for long else the juice gets diluted because of the ice.
Serve Mango Lemonade.
Note :
For Mango Lemonade can also do by heating the pan add some water and sugar and stir until it dissolves. Keep aside and bring it to room temperature.
For Burger ground meat can use Chicken or Beef as well and the taste will be the same as mutton.
For Assembling the burger you can use any veggie according to your choice.
