Green Chilly Stir-Fry is a quick simple with dry spices. It gets done under 10 minutes and is usually served with plain rice as a spicy side. It is like an instant spicy pickle.
Ingredients :
Big green chilly peppers 10/12 chopped thick
Asafetida – 1 big pinch
Cumin – ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds less than ¼ tsp
Salt – ½ tsp
Red chili powder – a pinch
Turmeric/haldi- a large pinch
Coriander pwd. ½ tsp
Mango pwd. – ½ tsp or lemon juice- ¼ tsp
Method :
Wash and chop the green chilies. & drain the water completely or wipe for paper towel.
Heat oil and add asafetida, mustard seeds and Cumin, keeping the flame low coz it might burn.
Then add all the dry spices apart from mango powder. Stir quickly add the chopped green chili.
Add 2 tbsp. water and cover. Cook till tender and add the mango pwd. / lemon juice ( I use lemon juice). Close the flame & Let it cool.
Serve with with Rice or with Chapati.
