Goan Prawns Pulao



2 cup basmati rice

1/2 cup prawns

1 tablespoon oil

1 small onion

1 small tomato

3 bay leaves

1 cinnamon stick

10 cloves

2 drops yellow food color

4 cup water

1 tablespoon milk

salt to taste

2 maggi cube


Method :

Wash the rice and set aside

Heat oil in a large pan/pot and add the onion and saute till translucent. Add in the tomato and saute till light orange, add prawns saute for 2 minutes.

Add the spices, rice and water


In a smalll bowl, dissolve the Maggie cube in a little warm water and stir mixture in to the pulao

Add the food color and tablespoon of milk ( help prevents the rice from getting sticky).

Let it cook on medium flame till water evaporates. Add salt to taste.
